Small Blog Meet: An Introduction

Hello folks, my name is Lauren Rose Deitch. (Rose is short for Rosier, pronounced ROH-ZEE-AY). I'm   a 24 year old stay-at-home-mother to a generous and loving husband.

Recently, my friend Stephanie, joined the Small Blog Meet, and it seemed like a fun way to get to know other bloggers and make friends with similar interests. What are those interests you may ask? (or maybe you don't ask, but here they are anyway!) I spend my time sewing (experimentally) for my daughter and for myself, crafting (accessories, things for the home, and so on), studying languages (Japanese in high school and college, Hebrew for the past couple of years) and finding ways to be the best mother, wife, and homemaker I can be. Obviously, this is largely a learning process, all of it!

When it comes to parenting, everyone has favorite methods. Some are old, some are new, and some are making a comeback because they are tried and true (an inadvertent rhyme, might I add). As a stay at home mother, I am very lucky to have the opportunity to spend time trying stuff out. I breastfeed Aviva exclusively. I utilize part-time EC (elimination communication). I also cloth diaper at home, though I use disposables on the go. We co-sleep in a family bed which we all love very much. Both my husband and I chose to wear Aviva over utilizing our stroller. However, we do use our jogging stroller when go for nature walks on the trail.

I mentioned my daughter. Her name is Aviva Margot (birth story here) and she lights my path. She makes me happy and she makes me strive to be a better, simpler person.

Let's be friends, shall we? <3
